What would happen if Trump and Putin make a Ukraine peace deal without Ukraine's consent?

I’m not really a fan of Trumps’ cabinet, but his first administration had a few people who knew what they were doing.

Trumps ‘peace proposal’ for Ukraine is an attempt to fleece and rape Ukraine together with Russians. The fact such a proposal was even made pretty much means the aid sent to Ukraine thus far was worthless and won nothing for America. Good job.

That’s why Trump and Putin can’t cut a deal on Ukraine without their and European consent. If Europe keeps supporting Ukraine for as long as they want to fight, that is what’s going to happen. American support is extremely valuable, because it’s mostly weapons and ammunition Europe isn’t that well prepared to provide, but things have been changing in the past year or two and Europe is better able to supply Ukraine with weapons than it was a year ago.

After that peace of some sort will be signed, neither side will be in shape to continue the war anyhow. However Trumpistan will be cut out of the deal and it will be less bad on Ukraine than what its proposals have been so far.

On their end, Russians aren’t in a particularily great shape either. It’s not at all clear how much longer they can hold on, seeing as they committed even nuclear maintenence technicians to assaults. If Ukrainians were storming Moscow that’s one thing, but they’re sending them to assault some godforsaken village in Ukraine. Financially Russia is exhausted, their supply depots emptied and they’re using less and less heavy equipment on the battlefield. Moreover, Ukraine is getting new allies. Russian support for Hamas and Hezbollah prompted Israel to start sending captured Soviet weapons and ammunition to Ukraine.

In short, Putin and Trump can make whatever deals they want. Ukraine has enough American weapons and ammunition to last until spring without problems. After that things slowly become hairy, but Ukraine only needs to last through the summer mainly on domestic production and European aid and it needs to do so at a lower intensity of fighting than over the past several months. I’m pretty sure they can do that.

The enemy gets a vote as well.” He was right, obviously. Any peace deal that doesn’t include one of the two warring sides is not worth the paper its written on. Ukraine gets to choose whether or not to follow that deal.
